Details: Lilith was born into slavery on a sugar plantation in Jamaica at the end of the 18th century. Even before she is born, the slave women who surround her have been seeking a dark power. The Night Women, as they are known, have been organizing an insurrection, and Lilith's coming of age and revelation of her power is crucial to their goals.
