Lies in Bone

Details: Chuck Coolidge, 11, and his brother Danny, 11, are lost in a cloud of toxic smog that blankets the steel town of Slippery Elm, Pennsylvania, on Halloween, 1963. Half of the town is sick, and 20 people have died as a result of the smog. Danny is also missing. Frank, Chuck's teenage daughter, plots her escape from this "busted and disgusted" town more than 20 years later.
